Made with fruit from Light Pass this is a big wine with lashings of dark fruit flavour – blackberry and blackcurrant in particular with a dusting of dried herbs.
Only 15% new French Oak adds a nice savoury edge, and is relatively restrained in comparison to the rich fruit. The palate is then a freight train of full-bodied dark fruits, chewy tannins and bright acidity with oak again in balance.
